Dessert : Tahini Cookies
Wednesday, January 21st, 2009If you’re after a quick snack for morning or afternoon tea or a cookie with your after-dinner coffee these cookies, with the beneficial ingredient of omega-3 rich walnuts is ideal. This recipe no flour, sugar, eggs or dairy.
90 g tahini
120 ml honey
1 g ground cinnamon
120 g quick cooking oats
60 g chopped walnuts
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
In a medium bowl, stir together the tahini, honey and cinnamon. Mix in walnuts and oats until well blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets. Cookies should be about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are slightly brown. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
This recipe will give you around 3 dozen cookies.
